Moving Contact Folders

How do I move a Contact folder to another contact folder with all the
contacts intact? Am using Office 2003.

Say I have several contact folders; Family, Friends & Fraternal
Associates each of whom are populated with contacts. I want to move
all of these folders under a single folder called Personal. When I
open Personal, I want to see the 3 folders; Family, Friends &
Fraternal Associates. When I open any of those, I want to see all the
contacts.

When I try to move a folder, it moves alright but it's empty. It
appears I've just created a new folder in the right place and I now
have to go back and move all the contacts. ????

I guess I could create a .pst file and import the folders to a new
location but then I'd have to go back and delete the originals. This
also creates another problem when I pick an address from: To:>Show
Names From. The new names and folders don't show.

Click the folder you want to copy, drag it to the folder you want to contain
it, and release the mouse button. Works every time for me. In what data
store is the destination folder?

And if you do, do the contacts move then?

The wording of this sentence leads me to believe you don't have your
contacts in a PST now. Do you? If you didn't I would have expected you to
say "create *another* PST file".
This also creates another problem when I pick an address from: To:>Show

Easily solved by enabling the new folder as an address book. Right-click
the contacts folder, choose Properties, select the Outlook Address Book tab,
and check the box labeled "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book".
