Outlook Contacts

Although enabled the auto delete warning for contacts not working - I can
delete a contact from my list and no warning turns on to allow me to
reconsider.
Using Microsoft Office Outlook 2004
 
There is no OL2004, the latest released version is OL2003.

I don't think OL2003 has a setting to warn about deletions except permanent
ones (from the Deleted Items folder or Shift-Deletes)
