outlook contacts used when mailing to these contacts

in outlook 2003 i have this problem where one of my clients has her contact
list shown first when sending a mail and not her global address list .when
she sends a mail to somebody using her contacts ,it goes through but doesnt
come up with an error message to say that now e-mail address is present or
anything like that ,but instead it goes through as if there is an e-mail
address and incase there isnt an e-mail address in half of her contacts??????
shouldnt your contacts just pick the contacts that has e-mail addresses in ?

Outlook 2003 also has a feature -- turned on by default -- that saves other addresses that you have used in the past so that you won't have to retype them. I suspect it's involved in this scenario.
