Outlook Contacts Address Book not in Fax Wizard

Windows XP and Outlook. I create a document in Word, then print to Fax.
In Fax Wizard, Address Book tab opens window, but the choices are
Shared Contacts and Main Identity's Contacts (which look they are from
Outlook Express) instead of Contacts (which is from Outlook). Before
that happened, the choice was only Contacts, but none of my addresses
from Outlook appeared -- Name box was blank, and still is. I think I
caused this problem by opening Outlook Express (had not done that
before). Last time I sent a fax (2 months ago) all was working fine.
And before that I posted messages here about Outlook needing to be open
if you are using a password for Outlook. Have tried all the fixes
posted in this group and on MIcrosoft website. Start me over. Thanks.

I kept searching, and may have found the answer, but still would like
to hear from others regarding this problem.
With latest automatic update from Microsoft to, among other things,
Internet Properties (late 2006) it appears that in Internet Options /
Programs - Email must be set to Microsoft Outlook for the Outlook
Contacts Address Book to appear in Fax Wizard. I had it as America
Online. Apparently changing it to Microsoft Outlook has no effect on
AOL's email working properly.
As usual, wasted much time on this. "So it goes" -- Kurt Vonnegut
