Outlook Connector uninstalled - Email gone!!

I am running outlook 2007 with an msn email account, and was continually and
annoyingly prompted to install connector. Without really knowing what
connector does (stupid me for not finding out first) I installed it, and then
waited forever while my email was downloaded to my hard drive. I instantly
regretted doing this, but continued using Connector for a few weeks. This
morning there was a popup prompting me to convert my email to hotmail. I did
not want to change my email address, so I simply uninstalled Connector via
the control panel. Now I can't get to my inbox.

Is there a way I can get my email back and continue to use Outlook 2007
WITHOUT connector, and WITHOUT being prompted to install connector?

Thanks

It appears to be but may be too early to tell. There are only a few messages
showing, and 'Your account is being updated' is showing just below what looks
to be a status bar, but it may just be a visual indicator of the amount of
mail I have (2000 mb). The bar doesn't seem to be moving much...

YES - the email is there online. I never use this feature so was a little
confused.

Then there is nothing really wrong. The Outlook Connector is merely an
account connection to enable you to connect to your Hotmail/Live/MSN mail.
Reconfigure your account with the connector and you should be fine.
