all of my hotmail mail disappeared and replaced the folder name and now all
mail is misses. Also send receive does nothing, i cannot even access my other
email accounts from other servers.

I am using XP SP2, no updates yet for either office or XP as I do not have
time to back eveything up before the install... but this outlookconnector
should be working fine but it is not, I cannot even get othermail to send or
recieve!!! Please help fix this!!

What happens when you try? Do you get any errors?
Which version of Outlook are you using?

After installing the Outlook Connector, remove your old HTTP account
connection and restart Outlook. After that use Outlook Connector-> Add a New
Account to set up your Live Hotmail account with the Outlook Connector.

Your Hotmail account was it a grandfathered account meaning did you have it since
1999. That can explain the situation. You did not need the Outlook Connector if that
was the case . Can you let us know.

Hi guys,

I apologize for my slow reply to your help.

Firstly, I need to say I think I rushed to conclusions. Actually right now
everything is working fine.

I need to let everyone know who may have the same problems, you need to wait
awhile before everything falls into place. It is not instant. I think I had
to restart outlook 2-3 times before it finally worked, and it might have been
beacuse I have over 1000 messages in hotmail, it may have taken some time to
get everything done right. So be patient with it.

And Peter, I do not think my hotmail account was grandfathered in, everyone
who is using outlook has to change to the connector otherwise they cannot
download their mail at all. Mine stopped downloading long ago, but I was not
using the account a lot at that time so I didn't bother to set it up, but
after a month I needed it, so I had not choice.

Thank you both for your committment to this question and again sorry for the
slow reply, I have been having some nasty pc issues that became a priority.
I will posting another new question shortly as am having more problems with
outlook now.

Thanks again!
