How do I stop outlook from changing a number that I store in the address
boook as +1-212-203-4777 to +1 (212) 203-4777

it's driving me nuts, I prefer the other format but I cant work out how to
stop it.

TIA,
Dean

Masking of phone numbers in Outlook is hard coded and not subject to user
control.

thanks Russ, it sucks but at least I know.

I know. It's a frequent complaint, but as I understand it, there's not much
choice. Outlook must present a consistent format because there are so many
programs that need to synch with it. So it uses standard international
format.
