Outlook cannot 'send' email????????

Hi

Suddenly (it was working a few days ago) my Outlook 2003 on windows XP
cannot 'send' email. It gets a permissions error.

I have no problem downloading email, I can even add new contacts and
appointments to the Outlook servers but emails will not go.

I do not have this problem in Outlook 2001 for Mac or on another Windows XP
box with Outlook 2003 and as I said it was working fine on this machine
until a few days ago.

Does anyone have any ideas?????

Robin

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server - Sending' reported error (0x80070005) :
'You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation.'

This is the error I get if I work offline and then do a send/receive.

Interestingly this was on VPN and it failed to do either send or receive.

In the office yesterday it would receive no problem but not send?

Robin

PS I appreciate your help as my IT group shrugged their collective
shoulders!!!!!!!
