Outlook Calendar, confliting events, appointments, and meeting det

I have been messing with this just today - try going to
tools > Options, then click on the 'preferences' tab.
From there, click 'calendar options', then 'resource
scheduling' You will see some options for allowing
conflicts or not.
 
I've tried your suggestion, but to no avail. It appears that the settings
that you described apply only to meetings coming to me from others.

Any other thoughts?
