outlook calendar balloons not showing

When I mouse over events scheduled on my calendar, there USED to be a balloon
pop-up that showed all of the "details" (written in at the bottom of the
appointment page). That balloon has stopped. What does show now is a
balloon, but only with the time (beginning and ending) and the full line of
the "subject.

I have gone through the directions: tools/options/calendar options/planner
options/show pop-ups (are all clicked-checked)....but no balloons anymore!

Help! I REALLY miss having that feature!

I and other in my organization are noticing the same issue. In my case, the
behavior is not consistent for all appointments in all views. For example,
looking at a particular day in Daily view, only one appointment will show the
details balloon.

However, if I press ALT+2 or ALT+3 to increase the view to 2 or 3 days, the
other appointments will then start to show the details balloons. It may have
something to do with the amount of text versus the display width of the
window. I would love to just be able to have that feature either 'always on'
or 'always off'. Right now though, I am still troubleshooting.
