Outlook Browser Not Working

Hi,

I am emailing from a friends house as my browser refuses
to work. I know I am connected to the internet as my
emails are working okay.

I am using Windows 2000 and the error I get is that my
DESKTOP is inactive.

I have no idea why it just started doing this.

Any help you folks can give me is very much appreciated!!
