Outlook blocking excel attachments.

I have microsoft office xp and it is blocking all
incoming excel attachments. I have tried to edit the
registry to remove the blocking but it did not work.
Furthermore, it is my understanding that .xls files are
not in the level 1 security blocks. Any suggestions?

Does it give the same mesage as when a Level 1 attachment arrive? Otherwise
check in Excel Tools-> Options-> tab General whether the option "Ignore
other applications" is selected

I think you are talking about Outlook Express now (Help-> About) In this
case you should go to Tools-> options-> tab Security-> option Do not
allow...
