I'm looking to evaluate Outlook 2007 BCM and would like to install it on my
development notebook (Vista Business) which is already running SQL Server
2005 Developer Edition SP2. I don't want the install routine to install SQL
Express. Is this option available?

Juergen,

I've been "fighting" with the installation of Outlook 2007 BCM for several
days now without much success. What I've found so far is that it will
install SQL2005 Express even if you already have SQL 2005 Developer Edition
installed. I did find a white paper on the Office 2007 web site which
describes using a remote SQL instance. Search microsoft.com for Outlook 2007
BCM Remote SQL and you should find it.

I still can't get the product to install on Vista however.

I believe that different 2005 packages will share common files, but BCM
will require Sql Express to create the MSSMLBIZ instance, even if
there's already an instance from a previous Sql install.
