Outlook Bar

I have some users who do have some numbers in parenthesis on some of the
Outlook Bar shortcuts, meaning Unread Items. I have several users who do not
get the numbers in parenthesis. I tried to add shortcuts myself, and I do
not get the unread item count either. Where can I find the option to enable
the unread count on Outlook Bar shortcuts?

Some random public folders. I am an Owner on all Public Folders.
