Outlook Audio files

I record audio messages on my PDA, and then they are copied to Outlook as
Notes when I synchronise. I can play these outlook audio note files on my PC
via its speakers, and even copy the files to other folder locations - but
they remain "outlook items".

I can't play the files on any of my other media players.

Does anyone know how I can convert these outlook audio files to a more
standard audio file format such as WAV or MP3 or other? I have Outlook 2000
and Windows XP.

This is also my issue. There does not seem to be anyway to pull the audio out
of outlook and convert it to anything else.
Can anyone provide some insight into how to do this?

If you have an audio file on your PDA and you want it as an audio file on
your PC, then you'll have to use WIndows Explorer to open "Mobile Device" or
use ActiveSync's Explore to open your PDA and browse to the folder
containing your audio file. You can then drag-and-drop it to your PC. You
cannot extract it from Outlook's Notes folder as an audio file.
