outlook asking for passwords

outlook has suddenly started asking me for the passwords to some of my email
accounts. Just clicking OK to confirm the old password doesn't work. What's
happening?
 
I'm using Windows 98. I don't have a "Protected Storage System Provider"
under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\
