Outlook asking for password

hi can some one advice please. since this morning my outlook keeps asking for
user name and password each time i enter does not connect with server to down
laod my emails. i can connect to my server which is BT broadband. but out
look keeps asking for password and the same message repeats. have XP pro 2000
and Office XP pro 2000. this just happend this morning???? confused

WIth BT Broadband as the ISP, it's obviously a POP account.

hello Francine, i am connecting to POP account this is what i always had i
believe with BT broadband. just deleted outlook acount and new account same
then removed account from control panel email same?
