Outlook as the standard e-mail program?

I've recently installed Office 2003. Before I installed it I used Outlook
Express to read my e-mails. I was quite excited over the new Outlook, so I
started using it at once.

After sending lots of e-mails I got suspecious on why i didn't get any
replies from the ones who got my e-mails at first. I opened Outlook Express,
and there they were, all the replies on my e-mails.

Why didn't they come up in Outlook? Haven't I made it the standard e-mail
program making outlook express getting all my replies, or...?

Why didn't they come up in Outlook?

First, if you start Outlook Express and it's set up to download from a
particular account, it will download the mail and delete it from the server.
When you run Outlook, there won't be anything to get. Second, you have to
define the account in Outlook in order for Outlook to receive mail through
that account.

So, go to Internet Explorer's Tools>Internet Options>Programs page and put
"Microsoft Office Outlook" in the E-mail field. Then, go to Outlook
Express's Tools>Accounts page, select your account, and uncheck "Include
this account..." or simply remove the account. If you don't let OE use the
account, it can't download the messages.
