Outlook as client - not Word

Hi.

Basic question: I want to use the Outlook client for my emails and not Word.
In Control Panel | Internet Option | Programs | email is set for Outlook. In
Outlook | Tools | Options | Other | the "Make Outlook the default editor for
E-mail, Contacts, Calendar" is ticked. What am I missing???

Installation: Office XP (2002), IE6, OE6

If you go to Tools -> Options and then the Mail Format tab, there are
check boxes to use MS Word as reader and editor. Make sure those are
not checked.

Thanks. I knew it was very simple but my eye just couldn't spot it. Must be
an age thing.
