Outlook archive process only creates deleted items folder (empty).

I've exported (from OE) many folders containing e-mails going back as far as
2000. When I attempt to execute a manual archive (selecting 01/01/2003 for
"Archive items older than") the archive process generates a pst with the
deleted items folder only. None of the e-mails that are from 2000 - 2002 are
moved into the "archive" pst. Any suggestions as to why I'm getting negative
results?

Probably because you imported so recently that Outlook, which uses the Modified date for archiving, doesn't think any of those items are old enough.
