If you intend to make Outlook your default email program, go to Internet
Options Program tab. Select Microsoft Outlook from the drop down list for
email programs.
If you intend to use only Outlook to receive email, then do a send/receive
only with Outlook. Incoming email will go to whichever program you use to do
a send/receive. If you want to avoid using Outlook Express to either send
or receive email, in Outlook Express Tools, Account delete your mail
account.
Outlook Express is always turned off unless you open the program. However,
Outlook Express cannot be uninstalled as Outlook uses some Outlook Express
files.
