Outlook and GMail Difficulty - How to Clear Outgoing Messages

I am not quite sure what the issue is. I am sure it is tied to the
difficulties many are having with GMail. In my case, I am able to receive
but not send. While I have done as much homework as I could re: Gmail
working again, I am posting here re: an Outlook issue.
While I have been doing what I could to get Gmail to send messages, somehow
there is a message that Outlook is trying to send, according to the
Send/Receive box. How do I clear whatever this message is? I am sure it is
nothing important? It is probably just the Microsoft Outlook Test Message
that is sent when you are testing your mail account settings. The message is
not in the Outbox/ Drafts or anywhere else where I can see where to delete
it.

Probably an undeliverabl eread receipt. See if this helps:

It wasn't an undeliverable read receipt. It was the MS Outlook Test Message.
Anyhow, somehow GMail is finally working after nearly two weeks, and
everything cleared itself.
