Outlook and "Connector"

I have the "Connector" software loaded on my system; but I don't know that I
initiated it to operate in the background. How can I test to find out if the
"Connector" is running actively in the background?

assuming you mean the connector for msn email, you need to set up your msn
account in outlook. if this is not what you mean, please be more specific.

Thanks for the response Diane. The Connector I am discussing here is:
The "Microsoft Office Outlook Connector" that I have installed in Outlook.
Since my first post I have discovered that the "Connector" shows on my menu
bar in "Outlook". Does this mean that "Outlook is now running automatically
in the background every time I open "Outlook"?

I have read that one of the things the "Connector" does is allow the Reading
& Sending of ones Office Live Mail/Windows Live Mail/MSN e-mail through the
"Outlook" Interface. I use MSN e-mail with "Outlook" and the above functions
perform fine from within "Outlook". Does this mean the "Connector" is active
in the background of my system; and that the above funtions would not even
work if my "Connector" were not installed and running in the background?

I will follow up and access the "Outlook" educational URLs you recommended.
Thanks again for your rapid response to my initial question.
