outlook always offline

My outlook is always showing offline. It still functions if I click
send/receive. I have a POP and exchange account. I've checked all email
account settings and nothing is configured to allow offline work.
any ideas?
 
Just to double check, take a look at the File menu > Work Offline command to
see if it's set

It's below "Print" in the File menu. is the menu fully expanded, or did you
just look at the shortened one?
 
It is fully expanded, and it still does not show up. Probably because I do
not have anything configured to work offline...?

Nothing to do with it. It's a default menu item or should be......
