outlook address book

i used to operate w/ outlook express on WIN ME, now
converted to outlook on WIN XP. I saved my addressbook
apparently as an EXCEL file and I tried to import the
same in OUTLOOK and i rec'vd an error message that the
program file was already in use, when it was not. How do
I import an address book from OUTLOOK EXPRESS off a
floppy into OUTLOOK?
