Outlook 98 locks up when I reply or forward some emails. It does this consistently for certain emails (every time I restart outlook and try to reply to that email it will lock up). I can't seem to identify anything different about these emails that may be the cause.

When it locks up I get the following message:

OUTLOOK.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The Error Signature says the following:

AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 8.5.5104.0 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: a508758d

It could be that there's some malformed HTML in those mails that causes
Outlook to choke. It might help if you temporarily switch to reading all
mails in Plain Text.

It could also be some property of the message that's causing the problem.
If you use Outlook with a PST file, you could try running SCANPST
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/181167).
