This is the latest Beta2 release. The version of outlook.exe is
12.0.4017.1006. Everything ran fine after I removed KB921587 and KB919029.
Then this morning I clicked a new message in my Inbox and there's the
hour-glass again running Outlook 2007. Now it's been that way ever since.
Outlook is unresponsive after multiple reboots. So frustrating.
In ARP, I saw that both updates were reinstalled (although the install date
showed as 11/14/06, not 11/15/06, as it should have - I'm wondering if the
update installation dates for KBs are displayed improperly in Add/Remove
Programs because it appears it really shows the download date). So I manually
removed both those KBs from ARP again today, set Automatic Updates to prompt
me to perform any installations, and I still have the perpetual hour-glass
running Outlook 2007.
I don't think the logged-on user has anything to do with it.
Any ideas how I can safely uninstall Outlook 2007 and revert to 2003 without
going through the great pains of the ugly export/import of addresses and
calendars?
TIA,
Susie

For what built number of Outlook is this?
Does it work if you logon as a different user?

I realized today was patch Tuesday, logged on to Microsoft Updates,
downloaded all critical updates for XP, rebooted, and now Outlook 2007 hangs
on startup - even in safe mode, and also in detect and repair mode. The
hourglass hangs around forever - until I kill the process. Rebooting again
didn't help. Anyone else seeing this?
