Hi,
It seems that Outlook 2007 (B2, B2TR) creates .tmp files for the PSTs
configured in the outlook session. I have O2K7 installation in which I
have got two psts trial1.pst and trial2.pst. Trial1.pst has been
configured as default, for receiving new messages directly into it
instead of the .ost.
However I have noticed that everytime I start outlook, it creates two
more files ~trial1.pst.tmp and ~trial2.pst.tmp. On exiting outlook or
removing any of the psts as data files, deletes the corresponding .tmp
also.
Is this a new feature in Outlook 2007? What is the purpose of .tmp
file? Will it affect the behavior of IMAPIAdvise interface as far as
message notifications are concerned? Or is there some setting by which
creation of .tmp files can be avoided? Any information on this would be
extremely helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Mandar
