Outlook 2007 stalls with Vista

I am using Outook 2007 with Vista. Everytime I start it, it stalls every
about 5 minutes for 1 or 2 minutes. This is making my work almost impossible.
I have searched a lot for a solution, but no proper fixes seem to be
published about this issue.

Can anyone please help?

How often are you checking for new email? are you using 32 or 64 bit vista?

I have 32-bit Vista and email always connected to Microsoft Exchange server...

I used to have Outlook 2003 before with Vista and never hd this problem. It
only started when I instaled 2007.

I have a Sony Vaio (in case this info helps).

How often are you checking for new email? are you using 32 or 64 bit vista?

You upgraded from 2003 to 2007 and kept the same profile? try a new
profile.

Yes I upgraded... and tried a new profile just now. Still doesn't work. It
keeps stalling every 5 minutes or so. I also removed RSS feeds (following
advice from other posts)... still doesn't work.
