Outlook 2007 Send Receive going nutz

When I press send, the Outlook Send/Receive window opens up and starts
repeatedly sending and receiving hundreds of times and cannot be stopped. My
Outbox messages do not get sent. It may have started after syncing my iPhone
-- but not sure about that.

Any ideas???

I recently have encountered the same problem

It goes into and endless loop. Runs to about 1,200 task completed and then
starts again. It also hoggs the processor. The only way to stop it is to
terminate.

Anybody has got a solution?
