Outlook 2007 Search Folders are inactive

My Unread Mail is the only active search folder; all others are grayed and
italicized. When I try to open any one I get a message "The operation
failed. An object could not be found." In the To-Do Bar Task Area I have
this same message.

When I start OL 2007, I get a balloon on the system tray icon that says
"There was a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some reminders
may not appear."

The Search Folders function has worked in the past. I have run Outlook with
the cleanreminders and resetfolders switches from the start menu, and I have
run Office Diagnostics from theOL Help menu.

I solved this problem by deleting the inactive folders, then making new
search folders with the same names. All is good in the search world.
