Outlook 2007 runs very slow on Vista Business.

I just bought a new Dell computer with more than 2MB RAM and Vista. I bought
Office 2007 and everything works except Outlook. It is extremely slow and
frustrating. Are there any fixes?

same exact problem here too. Top of the line Dell, paid extra for Outlook
2007 and it is unbearably slow. I've tried all the other fixes I found in
this forum and nothing has worked yet. Anyone have any other ideas?

Same for me. Dell Insp laptop Core2 T5600 1.83 with 2g Ram and Outlook 07
Business with Vista... no good. When I open Outlook 07 my CPU usage spikes
and Outlook 07 has lag time with menus, typing, etc... But, if I remove all
my contacts from Outlook 07 (making it useless for contact info) then Outlook
07 runs fine with no lag time. But, then I import 100 contacts back into
Outlook 07 and it runs very slow again...the opposite of runs. Is this going
to be a Dell issue? Did they make a mistake with their software or dare I
say hardware?

btw. I am on my second Dell laptop in two weeks. I send the first one back
assuming it had to be a rotten apple...but having the same problem with the
second laptop, is Dell or MSFT rotten now?

I found a fix that worked for me...go to control panel, remove programs, and
remove the Outlook Addins Setup (Cyberlink). You may need to reboot after.
This improved the performance of OL2007 on my dell 100xfaster!!!! I also
have all add-ins disable in outlook except search indexer. Hope it works for
yours. I found this fix on another forum
(http://www.itwriting.com/blog/?p=54) it came from Dell support.

The problem is Outlook 2007 has some bugs, while the rest of suite is
pretty good Outlook 2007 has terrible problems with being sloooowww. I
had to uninstall it and go back to Outlook 2003.

I tried Outlook 2007 on four machines and it is always very slow to
the point of being unusable. I hope a service pack will fix it in the
future since the features are pretty nice.

Americanblue... AWESOME! Thanks for the pointer, I used this fix, removing
the Outlook Addins Setup (Cyberlink) program and now my Outlook 2007 works
PERFECTLY! Legend, thanks. Was almost about to give up and go back to 2003!
