outlook 2007 pst to outlook XP pst?

I have Outlook 2007 running on Windows XP. I would like to load the contacts
into another computer that has Outlook 2003 (XP) running also on Windows XP.
If I try to export from Outlook 2007 and then import to my other machine, I
get an error message about incompatible files.

How can I get my contacts to the other machine?

Export to csv, import from csv

However it would appear one of your Outlook installations is using an
earlier version pst (97 - 2002 format)
Within Outlook (both) rt click Personal Folders>Advanced, does one
installation say, for Format: 97 -2002 ?
Both Outlook 2007 and 2003, by default use a unicode format data file,
earlier versions of Outlook cannot read this file. The earlier version
format also has a size limitation which uncode format doesnt

PS I assumed you meant Outlook 2003, and not Outlook 2002 also know as
outlook xp

Yes, but you will get duplicate entries if some allready exist

Use a native Outlook format. In Outlook 2007, create a new PST in the ANSI
format that Outlook 97-2002 uses by clicking File>New>Outlook Data File.
Choose the "Outlook 97-2002 Personal Folders File (.pst)" format and click OK.
After you've created this PST, copy the data in your main folders (you can
copy the folders themselves) to that PST. When you're done copying, close the
extra PST and copy that PST to the system with Outlook 2002 on it. Open that
PST in Outlook 2002 and you'll have all your data. No import/export needed.
