Outlook 2007 pst Corruption

Hello,

When I try to open Outlook, it looks fine in the beginning, but before it
has opened to a point that I can use it, the window closes and shows an error
message that reads, "Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the
Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have been
detected in the file C:\Documents and Settings\Janene
Fichtler.MIKE-COMPUTER\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst. Quit Outlook and all mail-enabled
applications, and then use the Inbox repair tool (Scanpst.exe) to diagnose
and repair errors in the file. For more information about the Inbox repair
too, see Help." (My computer is named MIKE-COMPUTER)

I hit "OK", then I ran the repair tool, usually located in "C:\Program
Files\Common Files\SYSTEM\Mapi\1033\NT\SCANPST.EXE". It found errors, I
repaired them successfully. Outlook still would not open. I scanned the file
again. No errors found. Outlook still wouldn't open. I restarted the
computer, and Outlook STILL wouldn't open. Microsoft still doesn't support
Office 2007, so I'm hoping that they will soon. If anybody has a fix for
this, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. I would really prefer NOT
to reinstall Outlook. I have already, and it was a major pain trying to find
a FedEx tracking number that was in one of those e-mails.

Thanks in advance,
Zach

Well known issue.
Scanpst.exe doesn't work in this build. It has been fixed in the next.
You should expect problems like this in a beta and should not be relying on
it as if it were a released version.

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\SYSTEM\Mapi\1033\NT\SCANPST.EXE".

Funny that you find it there. In Office 2007 it should be here;
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
