Outlook 2007 Problem

T

Travis King

Any e-mail I get when I try to click on a link to take me to a website, I
get a message saying "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions
in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
I've done a Google search (since I'm not allowed to use google as a verb)
this problem, but I only found these issues relating to Outlook 2003. I
didn't see any help for Outlook 2007. Secondly, it does this on both Office
2007 Beta 2 & TR. I never got this message on Beta 2, but I have on Pre-RC1
and RC1. Any ideas? Thanks.

Are you using FireFox as your default browser? If so, try these steps.

1.Click on Start -> Control Panel
2. Click on 'Classic View' on the pane on the left
3. Then click on Default Programs
4. Then click on Set Default Programs
5. Click on Internet Explorer
6. On the right hand side of the windows click on 'Set as Default'

If you are still having issues please post back here and we'll see what we
can figure out.

Tom,

I am having the same trouble as Travis. I have followed your advice below
and it didn't help.
So I uninstalled Firefox and went thru the defaults again. Still no good.
Any ideas ?

Not working for me either, and yes I use Firefox but even as IE7 set as the
default, it still does the same thing.
