Outlook 2007 not receving new e-mail

I have just installed Outlook 2007 over Outlook 2003 on my Windows XP
machine.

No new e-mail is being displayed, although it does seem to be
downloading.

I have checked the Deleted folder and the Spam folder and have not
found the missing e-mail I have disabled spam filtering, but mail is
not getting through.

In desperation, I even reinstalled 2003, but now I get another error
that one of the .DLL files ( forget which one at the moment), so now I
am totally out of commission.

Any sage advice?

If you had Office 2007 on this workstation and rolled back to Office 2003,
then you need to rename the MSMAPI32.DLL file at \Program Files\Common
Files\System\MSMAPI\1033. Once that's done, do a detect and repair.
