Outlook 2007 locks up

After installing Office 2007, I'm having problems with email.
If I am writing an email and there is an incoming message, Outlook locks up
and the only way to get back is to "End Task" and restart it.
Anyone have a similar problem or , even better, a solution.

I have a similar problem.
I just installed the new security updates for Office.
Prior to the update Outlook 2007 worked fine, now when I start Outlook 2007
it locks up.
When I close the program using Task Manager I get a message stating:
"cannont end this program because it is waiting for a response from you".
There is nothing on the screen to respond to.
Anybody have this problem?
