hi,

firstly I'm not at all tech smart so I need some layman's style help if any of you kind people out there can help.

I get this message when attemptiing to open Outlook 2007 with OS Vista.

Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have
been detected in the file
C:\Users\App\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlokk.pst.
Quit Outlook and all email-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox Repair tool (Scanpst.exe) to diagnose and
repair errors in the file.

I did check that Outlook was completely closed using the Task Manager.

I managed to find the Scanpst.exe and started the repair process but the application freezes. I then can't do anything. CTL+ALT+DEL doesnt even work and I have to power down and restart. I read somewhere that I may need to use a commercial inbox repair tool so downloaded a demo version of the Stellar software but when starting that it froze also at approx 6% complete during the very first scan. Rebooted and did same again with same result.

Am desparately trying to access my work emails!

Can anyone please help..?

Thanks in advance.
