Outlook 2007, Junk Mail filter problem

P

Peter

The Junk Mail filter on one of my computer does not work properly. It is
cheap Netbook, running XP Home. The junk email does not get filtered. When I
click on an obious juk mail message, the message quickly disappears and moves
to the Junk Mail folder. It would not do it by itself.

This is happening with an IMAP account.

Any help would be appreciated.

IIRC (I don't use IMAP) the message is not downloaded from the IMAP server
until you select it.

Only then can the Junk Mail Filter run against the content and move messages
identified as Junk Mail to the JM folder.

That must be the problem, thanks. I had it set to download the headers only.
I should have figured this out by myself.

Thanks again. I changed the settings (download the whole message and
attachments), and now I am looking forward to getting more junk mail!
