Outlook 2007 is usless

I have Outlook 2007 and had problems transferring files from Another program.
Now there are three of all files imported and I can't send or receive mail
because it keeps saying it has reached its file limits.

I tried deleting the .pst files and then could not use the program because
the .pst files are not avail. So I restored them. Is there some way to open
and modify the .pst file? I can't delete any of the email files because it
keeps saying the program has reached its limit.

I tried backing up the files but still get the same warning. I would like to
remove and re-install Outlook 2007. How do I do that? I followed the
instructions but it stopped responding near the end.

Help!

You might want to state what you did. There is no information here. We don't
even know what "Another program" is. You probably do. Deleting PST files is
a guarantee to corrupt your profile.

Reinstalling Outlook will not help you if your PST file is corrupt. What
type of PST file is it: 97-2002, or the new Unicode format type? If it
is 97-2002, then what's the exact file size?

Thank you Pat. After several months, I finally was able to start deleting the
files and am now back to using Outlook 2007. To this day, I don't know what I
did to finally be ableto delete the files. The PSTfiles were nearly 2megs.
There were three of every message I imported from Outlook Express. It would
have been difficult to answer your question, because I don't have a clue as
to what a Unicode is.

Thanks again for trying to help me.

Right-click the root of your PST in Outlook and choose Properties, then
click Advanced. What does the "Format" field contain? If it says "Personal
Folders File", it's a Unicode PST that supports a default maximum size of
20GB (with that maximum adjustable in the registry). If you see "97-2002"
in the format string, then you have an ANSI PST whose maximum is limited to
about 1.8GB. If that's the case, consider changing to the Unicode format.
INstructions on how have been published here numerous times and Google
Groups will find them for you.
