Outlook 2007 is erratic

I have installed both Office 2007 and Outlook 2007. Here is my problem: it
takes a long time for Outlook to boot. When I try to retrieve a message it
takes a long time and sometimes the hourglass appears and stays that way for
2-3 minutes or longer. At other times, I am able to retrieve messages
immediately. When I go to delete a message Outlook sometimes stops
responding. When I am writing a message, sometimes the print doesn't appear
for 2-4 seconds after I have typed. There is nothing wrong with my DSL
connection; internet is working fine. I am frustrated. I also get an error
message when I get to print; I hit OK several times and then the message goes
to the printer. Anyone got any suggestions for me? Thanks.

Did you install the Outlook Performance Update linked below? That would
be the first thing to do with performance problems.
