Outlook 2007 is crashing

I recently updated my Vista operating system. When I start outlook 2007 and
start looking at my emails, Outlook crashes and restarts again. When it
restart it or I start it again, it tells me "Data file did not close properly
last time it was used and is being checked for problems". After the data
file is checked, Outlook crashes again as soon as I start looking at my
email.

Could someone please tell me what to do.

Does it work in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> type; outlook.exe /safe
