Outlook 2007 Inbox Repair Tool (SCANPST) reporting errors on good

First, the 2007 scanpst seems MUCH slower than the previous version.
Repairing takes about 5 times as long and scans take about 3 times as long.

Second, scanpst is reporting errors on all 7 of my pst files, even though
they all checked out fine under Office 2003's scanpst. After performing a
repair, each repaired pst file swelled in size, from 81 to 105mb, from 72 to
89, and from 85 to 111mb on a few of my files.

Is anyone else encountering these issues with the new 2007 version of scanpst?

Diane - thanks for the words of caution on 2007's buggy inbox repair tool.

any idea if I can use the 2003 version? I get a procedure entry point error
when attempting to open scanpst.

I believe 2003's will fail too. do you need to run it or is this just
something you like to do for the fun of it? I honestly haven't had much of a
need to run it - and the one time I hoped it would help, it didn't. :(
