Outlook 2007 highlight bar?

Is there a way to slightly darken the highlight bar in Outlook 2007? It's the
one that shows which email you're viewing? There are different color schemes,
but all of them have a VERY light highlight bar. It is so light that it is
almost invisible, which makes it useless. When youclick on it, it gets much
darker (great!) but the problem is finding it.

mine is a medium blue when the message list is in focus and a light gray
when the message in preview is in focus. Both are very easy to see.

The only way to change it is using themes and color schemes in windows, but
this will affect all windows applications.
