Outlook 2007 hides form elements

R

Ravi.VSundaram

An application sends out an email with a form with three images types
to accept, deny or tentative an appointment and an additional comment
textarea. Outlook 2K7 seems to hide this whole form. and displays the
text around it. The email shows up fine in Outlook 2K3.

Is this a symptom of anti-phishing / anti-virus security measures?
Is there a work around?
Other than the registry method how do we view the source of a message?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Form as in HTML <form> element? Can you post a sample that illustrates the issue? Did you get a phish banner in the InfoBar? What do you mean by "the text around it"?

Hi Sue,
We're also seeing this. We use an html form that allows a user to
select an action via radio buttons against a list item. The action is
processed via a standard submit button.

In outlook 2007 all of these form elements are missing. There is no
phishing warning - the email just doesn't display the form elements
(radio buttons and submit button).

(the email/form displays just fine in Outlook 2003, 2003 and 2000)

Again, can you please provide at least a small code sample from the message source so we can test this issue?

Sue, I can give you a bit of codefragment but to turn that code into a
multipart email isn't trivial. Can I suggest I just give you an email
account on our server, you connect via IMAP and just look at one of the
messages in both Outlook 2003 and 2K7 and you'll be able to see the
differences in the rendered email?

If you want to do that, drop me an email at (e-mail address removed) and
I'll email you back the account settings.

Syd
