Outlook 2007 generates reminders

Outlook 2007 has been running nicely for months. Today it began generating 5
minute reminder notices for each entry in my contact list. I can dismiss this
as many times as I like, it will regenerate the reminder notices. I've
checked to make certain Office is up to date & all had it do a self
inspection that it should be in good working order. I've also done a complete
virus scan (MS OneCare).

If you look at your Contacts folder do you see follow-up flags set on your
Contact items?

Good question/suggestion, but, no, there are no follow-up flags set. Also,
interestingly enough, I currently have 174 contacts & the "reminders" were
for a total of 124 of them. Another interesting thing, having shut down the
machine for a while & restarting it the problem did not repeat, even after
opening Outlook. Probably speaking too soon as I'm sure the problem will
repeat itself. Thanks again.
