Outlook 2007 - emoticons

G'Day All,

Although not a high priority, I would like a neat (and reliable) way to insert
emoticons into OL2007 e-mail.

New to OF2007, hopes were raised on finding references to "multimedia message"
on MS.

Requires setting up "OL Mobile Service" which, in Oz, offers only SMS for my
provider ("Multimedia message" disabled in Mobile Preferences).

Can anyone recommend (paid if needed) software/freeware solutions that would
allow me to create the equivalent of a "multimedia message" in OL2007?

Insert-> Picture
And then browse to your jpg, gif, png, bmp, etc file which you want to
insert to express your emotion.

That has nothing to do with this.

Thanks Roady - But ...

That results in an attachment rather than an inline insertion.

??????????????

I have just discovered that OLExpress only has a 'French' Spellcheck - any
suggestions?

No, it doesn't. Insert-> File adds as an attachment. Insert-> Picture adds
it in-line. Make sure you are composing in HTML format.

Note that this is an Microsoft Office Outlook forum.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.

Here is the link for the right forum

Good Luck!

Ok Roady - thanks again.

To get it all to work I needed, in Tools>Options>Mail Format>Stationery & Fonts,
to choose a Theme - ensuring that the theme supported active graphics. If the
theme does not support this I get an attachment (even in HTML).

Animated gif files show only the first 'frame' (and not the full animation).

I appreciate your help!

The modified Word HTML engine that Outlook 2007 uses for its editor doesn't
support animations.
