Outlook 2007 Crashing in Vista Enterprise

I recently bought a new Dell Laptop, Inspiron 1420, and had it
upgraded to Vista Enterprise prior to using it.
I have MS Office 2007 installed and setup Outlook 2007 to link to my
university's e-mail account with no problem during a laptop setup.
Unfortunately, after a few weeks of it working with no problem, I
suddenly started encountering problems where when I opened Outlook and
tried to download/send/receive messages, it would freeze and need to
be re-started. Sometimes it will re-start with no problem and
successfully download the new messages, other times, it will require
me to reboot my cause me to have to reboot my computer.

Does anyone have any advice on this?
I have been using Mozilla Thunderbird in the interim (with no
problems), but am now trying to get Outlook working so that I can
fully integrate my e-mails, schedule and To Do list with my Palm
Centro ... so, another option is if anyone has recommendations on a
single software that will do this for me besides Outlook.

Thanks!!

What did you change to your computer in between?
Does it work in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

What's logged to the Event Viewer?
