Outlook 2007 crashes with BCM

BCM was running fine until I ran a scan to link past e-mail with my
contacts. This added lots of entries to Communication History. Now
whenever I launch Outlook 2007, I get a blank window for about a minute,
followed by a Dr. Watson report, asking me to send information about a crash
to Microsoft. Outlook fails to show any data in the preview window, and
when re-launched notifies me that it was closed improperly, and is running a
data check.

I believe this problem may be related to SQL Server. When I first installed
BCM, a message came up that it was starting SQL Server. I understand that
the recent update to SQL Server causes it to run on demand, whereas
previously it started when Windows booted up. However, after booting my
system, I see that SQL Server is running even before I launch Outlook. Is
this normal?

My machine should have plenty of power. It's a quad-core HP Pavilion m9040n
with 3 GB of RAM running Vista Ultimate, with all software updated and
current. I'm running Skype in the background, along with an antivirus
(NOD32), Logitech QuickCam software, and the Windows Mobile Sync Center, but
that's about all.

if i were in your position, i would shut down skype, the antivirus and the
others .. and see what happens on OL startup

not much help but with microsft products, ya never know.
