Outlook 2007 crash

Just installed Outlook 2007 and when ever I close it down within 10-15 secs I
get the "Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have clicked the "Send Error
Report" several times.
I have run the Office Diagnostic but it has shown nothing there are no
updates as yet. I have also re-loaded the software but to no avail. Any
solutions out there please.

What add-ins d you have installed? Make sure they are compatible with
Outlook 2007. If you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook
disable that integration as well.

Hi!
I am having the same problem with SpamKiller and Outlook 2007. I "disabled"
SpamKiller in Outlook, but it still crashes. How do I truly get rid of it?
(SpamKiller keeps marking my friend's messages as spam anyway).

Thanks,
Elizabeth

Thanks for the reply,
I found an article on a web forum saying that Mcafee spamkiller was causing
conflit with outlook 2007, I have now removed this and opened and closed
Outlook several times and touchwood no crashes.
As far as the add-ins how can I tell if they are compatable with Outlook 2007?
I am also using Mcafee Virusscan and have not disable it as yet due to
removing spamkiller.
I will see if this has cured my problem first.

you will have to uninstall Spamkiller completely, either go to add or remove
programs or you can use a Mcafee clean up tool which will uninstall.
Since I uninstalled Spam killer i have had no crash's

You cannot find that out yourself (unless you consider the crashes enough
indication ;-). You must contact the vendor of the add-in to get an official
statement. If they state that that specific version is compatible with
Outlook 2007 you can start a support incident with them.
